The term enthusiast is described as a person who displays eager enjoyment in a particular activity or subject.

We liked those two words together, eager enjoyment.  It reflects our passion for all things related to leadership development.  We read books on it, devour podcasts, offer ideas and inspiration via an Occasional Musing, and we are happiest when we have the opportunity to teach and coach amazing leaders and teams to be better, stronger, faster.  We even like it when leadership is messy and hard, which is usually the case.  Our expertise falls into four core categories and all services are customized to meet the needs of individuals and teams.

We think it’s valuable for you to get a sense of who we are and how we work.

When working together, the first thing you can expect is curiosity. We want to understand you, your team, the work environment, desired goals, and what success looks like. Context matters and asking questions to understand the landscape is where we like to start.

A second expectation is that one size does not fit all. We like to customize solutions as needed. The ability to connect content to specific needs of the individuals or team increases the probablity that new learning will stick and behaviors change for the better.

Lastly, our values and beliefs anchor everything we do. At Leadership Enthusiast, we believe:

  • Good leadership matters. It’s a critical differentiator to success.

  • In delivering results, meeting milestones, and following through on commitments.

  • In the proper care and feeding of teams. Healthy teams = sustained, high level output.

  • In prioritizing connection because that is what makes work worthwhile and meaningful.

  • Everyone is responsible and accountable for their behavior, and ultimately their own happiness.

  • In asking insightful questions that create “aha” moment in others.

  • Vulnerability is a sign of strength, not weakness, and it is what’s needed to create breakthrough moments.

  • You have to endure the discomfort that comes with learning something new.

  • Courage matters. Feel the fear and do it anyway.

  • Effective leaders say what needs to be said, not always what people want to hear.

  • In solid, practical frameworks – they help us see situations with a different lens.

  • In the science of how our brain works and we weave it throughout our work.

  • Trust and respect continually need to be earned and reinforced, never taken for granted.

  • We should plus everything we touch and leave things better than how we found them.
